He used to urge his people to pray and give alms-tax. And his Lord was well pleased with him.

And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakāh and was to his Lord pleasing [i.e., accepted by Him].

And mention in the Book ˹O Prophet, the story of˺ Enoch. He was surely a man of truth and a prophet.

And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.

And We elevated him to an honourable status.1

And We raised him to a high station.

Those were ˹some of˺ the prophets who Allah has blessed from among the descendants of Adam, and of those We carried with Noah ˹in the Ark˺, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel,1 and of those We ˹rightly˺ guided and chose. Whenever the revelations of the Most Compassionate were recited to them, they fell down, prostrating and weeping.

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel [i.e., Jacob], and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.

But they were succeeded by generations who neglected prayer and followed their lusts and so will soon face the evil consequences.1

But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil1 -

As for those who repent, believe, and do good, it is they who will be admitted into Paradise, never being denied any reward.

Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all.

˹They will be in˺ the Gardens of Eternity, promised in trust by the Most Compassionate to His servants. Surely His promise will be fulfilled.

[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been eminent.1

— Saheeh International

There they will never hear any idle talk—only ˹greetings of˺ peace. And there they will have their provisions morning and evening.1

They will not hear therein any ill speech - only [greetings of] peace - and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon.

That is Paradise, which We will grant to whoever is devout among Our servants.

That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah.

— Saheeh International

“We only descend by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs whatever is before us, and whatever is behind us, and everything in between. And your Lord is never forgetful.

[Gabriel said],1 "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful -

˹He is the˺ Lord of the heavens, and the earth, and everything in between. So worship Him ˹alone˺, and be steadfast in His worship. Do you know of anyone equal to Him ˹in His attributes˺?”

Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"
